So, I have always been more or less of a die-hard runner. However, I have recently discovered that running is not as fun as it used to be. Blame it on my prematurely aging knees. Perhaps I am lazier. But I don't enjoy it anymore.
However, I have discovered that I LOVE walking. Walking at dawn or dusk is the best. Wait, I'm not a morning person so let's make that dusk. It is invigorating, and I find that I'm not concentrating so much on breathing that I can actually enjoy the scenery. I used to think it was weird when mothers would go walking. Who can get a workout from that? Well, apparently I can, and without having a sore hip or knee. SO, I may not ever make the goal of running a marathon, it isn't in my genes (thanks for the knees dad!) but, maybe I'll become an olympic speed-walker! Ha ha!
