We purchased a Rubber Ducky last week ($.97 at Walmart) to enhance Alana's tubby time experience (she already LOVES it, as you might remember). Well it turns out that the ducky was a great idea. She is fascinated by it and loves to grab it in the tub. I leave it there to make tubby time extra special.
Other Alana updates for the week:
Favorite thing to do: wake mommy & daddy up in the middle of the night (ok, maybe it's not her favorite, but I'm wondering if she'll EVER sleep through the night! Maybe I'm feeling especially pessimistic since last night was a rough night!)
Favorite food: Peaches. I should have waited to introduce these, because now she doesn't want anything else. But Sweet potatoes don't seem to do good things for her itty tummy.
Favorite toy: the aforementioned Rubber Ducky
Favorite book: Mommy's best kisses. (It's mommy's favorite too!)
Favorite toy: she LOVEs the diaper wipes because they crinkle. She's also enjoying anything that's easy to chew on.
I never realized how much being a mother can make you doubt yourself. Sometimes I wonder if I was stronger and better, then she would sleep through the night. (I LOVE rocking her to sleep!) Or I wonder if she's going to have emotional problems. (I wonder less since I read that babies can't regulate their own emotions...isn't it funny how they can be screaming, then suddenly giggle?)
I'm also pretty sure she's going to pop a tooth any day now. Stuart thinks she spends half of the day crying (it's a lot less than that.)

Oh I wish I could see you guys more often! I love the ducky pictures, and the flowers at the temple are beautiful! I also love the asian outfit...it's cute!!
Ok is it just me or does she have a reddish tint to her hair?? So sweet with the rubber ducky. It was fun to read a little bit her every day activities and learn more about her! She is wonderful and you are wonderful!
You are a good mom, Crystal! I understand doubting yourself...and I know what it's like to not have your baby sleep good at night. If you're doing something wrong, so am I!
