Stuart gave Alana the nickname "Alana soup-ee-sana poop-ee-pana" when she was a toddler. She loves it. Anything with "poop" in it is a guaranteed laugh for a three-year-old!
My Grandma summed it up best when she said "Alana has the vocabulary of a 10-year-old." It's true, this little person has three-year-old emotions and a three-year-old body, but a much older brain. Which is probably why those emotions are so hard to handle!
One of Alana's favorite activities lately is to make up her own songs. I will post a video because it is cute. She loves to sing, although I can't say she has a natural gift for it, I'm sure she'll be a decent singer someday because she loves it so much!
Alana directs all of the play that occurs in our home. To be honest, sometimes I get tired of being the "kid," and I'm grateful that Charlotte is getting old enough for make-believe play. I love when they go in their room and I hear laughing and giggling. (Don't worry, there is an equal amount of screaming and crying.)
Another one of her favorite activities is to play the I-pod Touch. We have some cute preschool games that she loves (Monkey Lunchbox is a good one), but she is learning that she has to do her morning jobs and get ready for the day before she is allowed to play. I can't believe how much I love this kid. We have our share of meltdowns, but she is just a loving girl. She loves to play with our baby Esther and take care of her, and she is a big help in getting me diapers and doing other little things around the house! I feel so blessed to be her mom!
