When we left Arkansas we headed north toward Kansas City. It was raining heavily in Southern Missouri. We drove for so long, but finally reached Cheyenne late that night. I remember being so frustrated because Esther had fallen asleep in the car, but woke up when I took her in to the hotel. We were all tired.
The next day, as we drove closer to Utah, we began to see evidence that we were leaving the plains and entering Rocky Mountain country. It was the best feeling to feel like we were coming home. As Stuart said "Wyoming never looked so good!"
We arrived in Utah and were so glad to get out of the car!
Some of the things we did in Utah included:
1. Visiting the zoo with the Dearden Cousins
2. Swimming with Aunt Staci and the Davies
3. Staying with my sister Julie and running a 5k with Julie and Sharolynn (Julie placed 2nd in her age group!)
4. Family pictures with the Deardens
5. Visiting our old ward in Holladay
6. Seeing the mountains and viewing the Valley from the West side
7. Hanging out with our family that we missed (and still miss) SO much!
8. Running with Sharolynn (she was so patient with me as I was still not in the best shape AND I was not used to the altitude! 4000+ feet above sea level!)
9. Watching Gordan and my dad play with Seth!
10. GOING TO THE TEMPLE!!
