I hope this blog doesn't turn into my online baby journal, but I can't find my real journal, so this will have to do!
We went to our first OB (obstetrician, the doc who delivers the baby) yesterday, and it was loads of fun!! The wait was long, because he had delivered some babies earlier, and then they took my blood pressure. It was like 88/80. Does that mean I'm dead? Oh, that's when your pulse is really low...anyway, the nurse said that was normal (mom doesn't believe her). Then they weighed me...I've lost weight, must be due to the fact that food is disgusting...THEN, they took my blood. I didn't mind that, but it made me really light-headed.
ANYWAY, then I had an exam, which I've never had with a male doctor (at least not since I hit puberty, and I'm probably going to have to learn to be less modest in front of medical staff if I'm ever going to deliver a baby! BUT, the good news is that everything seems as it should be, and I get to go back in 2 weeks and hear the HEARTBEAT and maybe get an ultrasound, if the tech is in! It's so exciting! It's becoming more real, even though I have no bump to account for the fatigue and the yucky feeling!
I will post ultrasound pics as soon as I get them! (which might not be for 12 more weeks...)

Oh ya, the modesty thing will go out the window in that delivery room. Nurses come in and out of there while you are fully exposed. So fun. And then they teach you how to breast feed...
I started crying when I heard Natalie's heart beat. It was really exciting to know that you have a living person inside of you and you can feel everything she does. You feel a wonderful love. And yes...I was not comfortable with the doc...but...oh well! Gotta have a baby!. =)
I'm just glad I have 10 more years! ;)
