After that word I always want to say "Professor Higgins, for your glorious victory!" But no one would understand the obscure "My Fair Lady" reference! Ah, Audrey Hepburn. Audrey is a possible name for our child, but I'm getting off topic!
Julie and Lance now have a blog! Lanceandjulie.blogspot.com.
Yea! Now we just need to convince the rest of our family to join the blogging world in order to keep up on the day-to-day occurrences in our lives!
Congrats Lance & Julie!
Now I will seek another tangent: baby movement. This is often called fetal movement, but the word "fetal" just reminds me of the pig I dissected in high school, and my baby has much more warm and pleasant connotations to me! Usually she is just so well-behaved and quiet during the week. I have to poke her to make sure she is still in there (not that I can really ignore my rapidly-growing midsection). On the weekends she usually debuts with a new tap routine (what else could cause such jiggling of my belly?) However, today while I was helping students with their math assignments, she had to show off her newly acquired somersault skills! Hopefully that is not a sign that she already has math anxiety (although that is a problem I am equipped to deal with.) Rather, I'd prefer if she just realized she can move at other times than when I am trying to sleep.
Anyway, the problem with this little darlin moving around inside me is that it always makes me want to giggle. It just feels so funny (I know, I know, soon she'll be kicking me hard in the ribs and it will feel less than amazing.) However, trying not to giggle while I'm teaching because my child is putting on a circus is nearly impossible. HOW am I supposed to stay focused? Especially when 5th graders are oh-so-eager for any chance to get off-topic! Oh well. C'est la vie. In 3 months she'll be in my arms, and, I imagine, she won't want to hold still then either!
