Asian Heritage.

You may not know that Stuart's mom has Asian ancestry. Of course that means that Stuart, as well as Alana, share that heritage. My visiting teacher was in Thailand for a while and brought Alana back some beautiful native garb. I thought it would take a while to fit her, but luckily I tried it on her the other day, and the top fit perfectly. The pants are still too big, but we got a huge kick out of dressing her up. She seemed to enjoy it as well.

Alana updates:

Newest development: sitting up all by herself, rolling like crazy, eating peaches (YUM!)

Favorite word to say: "Da da da da da" (Yes, I'm aware that she isn't really talking)

Favorite toy: Little round mirror.

Favorite food: mommy's milk

Favorite sleeping position: side

Favorite book: It's still Runny Babbit, though Chicka Chicka ABC is a close 2nd

Favorite song: She LAUGHED today when I sang "Put on a happy face" today. She also loves playing the piano. Not that I want to push her, but I'll definitely encourage that. I sort of figure that if she is well aquainted with the piano, and music in general, at a young age, then she'll develop an innate desire to practice... ;)

Favorite game: "Where's Alana?"

So cute! And it's so fun to see all the things she is doing. I love that music is such a part of your life and Alana's--it's a good reminder to me to sing more.
