Curious George comes on channel 11 at 5 pm. That is a wonderful thing to us mothers who like to have dinner on the table before 6. Before having a child, I honestly was not ever going to let my kids watch TV before they were 2, and even then, sparingly. Welcome to real life, where you realize that tv is a blessing! (well-used with good judgement, that is!)
Big Sister, like most young 'uns, likes...no LOVES "monkey". (In fact, yesterday she saw a commercial for Curious George, and when it didn't come on, I was left dealing with the mother of all tantrums!)
Back to my story: the other day she was watching George and I was preparing dinner. I try and check on her every couple of minutes, and usually she sits on the love seat, enthralled by George's adventures. However, on this particular day I had left my purse on the floor. And what, you ask, was in my purse? PENS! And what does she love more than George, blueberries, and going outside?! That's right, pens. Here's the picture of what I found:
After I wrestled them from her, we had the talk about how our body is a temple, and Heavenly Father doesn't want us to write on them. It came off easily with some soap in the bath, but I just had to laugh! Kids are so funny! (I'm just glad it wasn't the walls!)

Oh my heck! Gotta love the whole "pen drawing on themselves" situation! She was a good girl to keep it to herself and not your furniture!! It is so fun to watch them grow and I'm excited for you and that you get to take her to nursery soon! Huzzah!! And the only name suggestion I have is Jennifer. It's a good practical name and is very unique . . . for every one out of ten women. Good luck trying to find a name we are currently struggling with that as well!
So funny. All I can say is that there are worse places to color...ahh yes. We have experienced those places :)
