First up is our child's new favorite activity. Playing with beans. At first I thought it was fun. Now she throws the dried beans on the floor and puts them in her mouth. We're probably done with that fun activity for a while. I'll have to come up with something new to entertain her so she isn't watching 3 hours of tv.
By the way, we made salt dough, but it wasn't a success. I think she's too young to do more than stick it in her mouth!
Next up is the fun we had at East Canyon with my fam. My dad took some pics, I'll have to get them before I can post them. But the most entertaining thing for the girl was eating the chips that spilled on the ground (due to high winds). I think everyone was grateful to her for cleaning up. Did I mention she ate more candy that day than the rest of her life combined? ;)
Last night was the ward campout. We went, took chili for dinner (and brought about 20 servings home, I guess nobody wanted to camp in the cold rain.) No, we didn't camp. I like the idea of camping. I love the mountains. But neither of us is fond of the mess and the clean up the day you come home. Besides that, we have no gear. We'll probably be occassional campers. Here is the 1 pic that proves we were there:
Yesterday I also had my midwife appt. I gained 5 pounds in the last 2 weeks, so now I'm up to 20+ my pre-preg weight! I feel good, and all those people who say I'm too small can leave me alone now (thanks Karen for thinking I look perfect!!) I know, I'm self-conscious! But the little one is measuring right on time, her hb is great, and I'm excited that in just 5-7 weeks we'll get to have her here!
A few cute things Little Girl has done lately:
She loves this book. She calls it "Diddle" and makes me sing the "hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle" rhyme 50 trillion times.
When I tell her we'll read 1 book before bed, she'll say "two!"
After I finish the 1 book, she'll say "one more!" "PLEASE?!"
How can you tell a kid no when they say "please!" I mean, I can do it, but it's hard! And I remember something I read from Sister Hinckley along the lines that she never told her kids no if she could tell them yes. What wisdom! Why not give them what they want if it is safe, uplifting, feasible, and doesn't cause problems (eg why tell them they can't have more grapes just because they already ate grapes?). I do understand it is important to set limits, don't worry. But seriously, none of this "because I'm the parent and you're the child and that makes me smart and you dumb and you have to listen to everything I say" baloney! Sheesh! (Sorry, I'm venting about a fb comment!)

I think it's awesome that you can stay so small while pregnant. Isn't that what all women hope for? So as long as your dr/midwife says you and the baby are healthy, just enjoy your body. And know that when other women make comments about how you're so small, they're just jealous. They get fat and they hate you for staying small. Hahahaha!
