Your little one is ADORABLE!! I realized after you messaged me that I didn't update my links to your new site. In answer to your question - when at home and the boys would scream I would have to distract them with whatever I could find so I could take care of Ema. I would give them juice or crackers, and turn on a movie or cartoons almost every time I fed Ema, or we would be attacked. Sometimes I had to just put one of them in their room to scream, or strap them into their highchairs with some snacks or a toy if I had to. This might sound like torture, but I don't mind letting kids cry it out if I have done everything I can think of. There were also times (and still are) when Ema just has to wait for me to get to her. It doesn't ever last too long 10 mins or so before I can get to her. The hardest thing was I just had to let go of a lot of my control and just do whatever was necessary at the time. My kids probably watch/ed too much TV but if I didn't have them distracted by it then they would attack Ema and I. I also made sure to give my boys as much attention as possible when Ema was with us and especially when she was asleep. The boys got big boy dolls when Ema was born with the hopes that they could use their doll and copy what I did with Ema, but my boys didn't go for it. When we are out its a different story. I don't go out that often with all threeby myself because we don't have a second car, so when we do its exciting and my boys are pretty good but I just make sure I do what I can to distract them if they start to get antsy. We play where is your _________ (body part), and what sound does a ______ make. At church Kindt is in charge of the boys and I am in charge of Ema, and if they freak out he takes them out and makes them sit on his lap so they don't think that its fun to leave church. I don't know if any of that helps...or if it answered your question. I just wrote down anything that came to mind :) And I love the name!
