PLEASE VOTE NO for referendum 1!!!!
I've mentioned some of the reasons in previous blogs, but basically it just helps upper middle class families. This referendum will not help the average Utah Family! It will also NOT lower class sizes in public schools for a very simple reason: schools get teachers based on average class size. If your school's average class size is lower, you can hire fewer teachers, which increases class size!

Many parents do believe they should be able to choose public or private school. But let's not take public money to give that choice! Instead, let's focus on making public schools better so parents feel good about the school their children go to!!
As an educator, I can say that most teachers put their heart and soul into teaching, and do the best with the resources they have! We need to care about ALL Utah children, not just our own!! The children we let fail or fall between the cracks could become the criminals that are draining so much money in the penal system! (don't worry, I won't get started on that!)
