The Harrisons

I have a good friend that I met my second year at BYU. She was in my ward and has always been so thoughtful and understanding, just a terrific friend!

When I found out I was pregnant, Ashley Harrison was one of the first people I told. I saw her by chance when I was stopping by BYU, and we talked. A few weeks later she told me she was also expecting, but her due date was actually a few days before mine. We kept in touch during our pregnancies and it was great to have a buddy! At my baby shower Ashley showed up...NOT pregnant anymore. It turns out her little boy was 3 weeks early, and completely healthy!

I visited Ashley and her family the week before Alana was born and was just once again impressed with how friendly she and her husband Sam are. Alana was born the next Sunday. Of course, I was so wrapped up in the birth of my new baby that it took me a week or so to check facebook and discover that on Feb 16, Sam was in terrible snowboarding accident and had broken his neck, possibly paralized.

www.donateforsam.org is a website you can go to and read the entire story of my friend and see pictures. You can also donate if you would like to. Sam was attending BYU and Ashley was about to quit work to continue being a stay at home mom to Benji after her maternity leave. These are truly amazing people with a firm testimony of the Savior. They can also use your prayers!

That's very sad! We will definitely include him in our prayers!

Oh my gosh. That is one of those things that you hear about and desperately hope never happens to you or anyone you know. We will be praying for them as well.
