The Girl LOVES to play hide and seek. Which means that we go and hide in the closet.
Sometimes we bring the Daddy in on the fun, but he knows exactly how to divine our hiding spot.
Daddy: (coming into the room) "Hmmm, I wonder where Girl and Mommy are. Are they under the bed? Nope. Are they behind the door. Nope. Hmmm...What sound does a cow make?
Girl: MOO.
Daddy: (opening closet door) I found you!
At least, this was how hide and seek went until recently.
Last time I was hiding in the closet with her it went like this:
Daddy: "What sound does a cow make?"
Girl: (in a barely audible whisper) moo
Daddy: what sound does a car make?
Girl: (again whispering) beep beep
Daddy: What sound does a horse make?
Girl:( you get the point) neigh
Daddy: I guess Girl isn't hiding in here.
I was the only one who heard the animal sounds. I guess she's getting the point that you aren't supposed to give away your hiding spot, but who can resist a good animal sound?! :)
*I almost forgot to record this story, but DH reminded me of it, and I've been thinking lately how my little ones aren't going to be little for long, and I need to cherish and remember the sweetness of being a mother to young children. Especially on the days where it is less than sweet. :)
