Grannie D always calls her grandbabies "sweetsie." I LOVE calling my girls sweet ___. So I thought Sweet "C" would be a great nickname for Little Sis, and she really is sweet!
We can't believe 2 weeks have come and gone already. I'm still recovering from birth. Who ever said tears heal better than episiotomies didn't talk with me first. ;) I think next time we have a baby (yes, someday we're hoping for a 3rd little "D", but not a few years) I will not do ANYTHING for 2 weeks. Ha ha! I definitely jumped back into my daily tasks too soon. But I do have to mention that Heavenly Father is so amazing. Earlier this summer when I was freaking out that DH didn't have a job between graduation and employment (now only 5 weeks away, btw), I didn't think about the blessing it would be for him to be home when we had a new baby. It is SO great to have 2 of us to divide the chores (which he & Julie have done most of lately) and to get up with the Girl in the morning. I think I would be struggling if he were working already and I had to do this by myself! Tender Mercy!
Our little C has grown almost 1.5 pounds already! She weighed in yesterday at 8 lb 5 oz! (1 lb 4 oz gain in 2 weeks!) Such a good eater! Nursing is much easier this time, which is probably due to the fact that I've done it before. And maybe it helped a little that I could hold and nurse C immediately after her birth!
C sometimes spits up out her nose (I was shocked the first time she did this) which causes her to get very congested. Needless to say, we don't sleep much at night! She is a great little baby. She loves to be held, sleeps 3-4 hours at a time at night, and has beautiful eyes. And she doesn't seem to be going bald on top like The Girl did!
The Girl is adjusting well. She still calls C "baby." "Baby kying," "Baby hungy," "baby seeping." She hasn't attacked her, and I think she loves her. Such a dear girl!
PS I do plan on having any other babies naturally. From what I hear it is like running a marathon. During and immediately afterward you think "This is nuts, why would anyone do this?" But then you have to do it again. It's addicting! Ha ha! I'm working on a post about childbirth and my thoughts. I just have to say that no matter how you give birth, it is hard. And amazing (hopefully!). :)

How precious! I love the pictures, and I'm sure she's even better in person :) That's so nice that you've had help around the house, especially with two kids to care for now.
So adorable... I love how new little babies look. I think C looks more like you than Big Sis did, so maybe she'll be your twin! I love how sweet Big Sis is to her too! Makes me encouraged to have more kids later. I am so glad you think you'll go the natural birth way with the rest... I agree, it's addicting! Congratulations again on your beautiful little one. OH and I have a present I need to bring by! ;)
She is adorable! A very beautiful little girl :) Im glad Big Sister is enjoying her baby and hope that you get some sleep soon!
