Charlotte melts my heart, makes me laugh, and drives me crazy all at the same time. She gives me the best snuggles, and often just grabs me around the neck and says "MOMMY!" But then the other day, out of no where, she looks at me and said "You are the meanest mommy in the world!" I pretended to cry, though to be honest I was a little sad that my sweet baby is not-so-sweet all the time anymore! In fact, today she put both hands on her hips, and in a sassy tone commanded: "You go to room! Now!" Sheesh.
If it's too quiet, you can probably find Charlotte playing in the toilet. I wish that were an indication that she was ready to ditch the diapers, but, alas, we tried potty training this month. I gave up after 2 weeks because I was tired of scrubbing pee out of the carpet. We'll try again in a month or two...or six!
Charlotte enjoys coloring with markers. We have some dry-erase markers for our preschool activities and those are her favorites. She has also discovered coloring books and enjoys those. Her big sister is her best friend, and she is a homebody. She still needs naps, but if she takes one she's up really late. Her most favorite activity is watching Dora. She can sing the entire Dora theme song. Or Alana will start singing it and Charlotte will finish where Alana left off. "D-d-d-d-d-Dora..."
Have I mentioned before that she loves to be naked. Without a stitch? I love this girl!
