Some people have mentioned to me that, while they love all my girls, Charlotte is their favorite. Now, I don't have favorites, but there is something special about Charlotte. She is such a goof, gives so much love, and is just delightful (most of the time.)
Charlotte loves to tag along after her older sister. I have to be careful to not let Alana overshadow Charlotte, though. If I ask Charlotte a question (such as "What does a cow say?") and Alana is the room, she will answer before Charlotte gets a chance. And Alana directs the play.
This month, Charlotte has started more pretend play, such as house and things. It is cute to hear her "Oh Mudder, I'm coming." When she is talking to whoever is playing the "mom."
Charlotte LOVES sugar. Any kind. And she gobbles it down quickly, there is no waiting or saving. She eats it until it's gone. And then asks for more.
Her hair is getting longer, but it is still so thin. I've had it cut once, last summer, but I'm not sure I will keep hers short like I did with Alana. It has a different texture, it is much more fragile, and has a little bit of frizz. Plus, she twizzles it around her finger, which creates knots that are difficult to comb through. Have I ever mentioned Charlotte's obsession with hair? She's not quite as obsessed as she used to be, but she still loves to play with hair. She'll even play with Stuart's if it gets long enough. She holds it between her fingers and pokes her face with the ends of the hair. It's funny. Anyway, I'm just glad we can do pigtails, because if I don't put her hair up, it just looks messy. It doesn't work well when curled with a curling iron, either.
