Alana: April 2012

Alana continues to experience all the emotions known to man--sometimes hourly! Ha ha! She is so great! She is learning about how to tell the truth, and I am so proud of her, because instead of lying when I ask "did you hurt Charlotte?" she replies "I'm scared to tell the truth because you'll get mad. I just can't get over how smart she is, and how great her memory is! She is definitely the kind of kid who never forgets a promise. Lately when she makes a mistake or misbehaves she says "It is just so hard to be good." or "It is too hard to remember, but I'm trying so hard mom." Not long ago when I felt like I handled a challenging situation quite patiently, I confided in her that I had prayed that morning for Heavenly Father to help me be patient. Her reply:" well mom, He didn't answer your prayer." She is also learning the difference between reality and make-believe, but she believes anything her friends tell her. Sometimes our neighbors will tell her something that is obviously made-up, but she will believe them. She pretty much spends her days outside playing with our upstairs neighbors (who we adore!). What a great life!! What a great gal! We love this sweet little person. I say all my kids are sweet. And they are!
