Mother's Day 2012
This year, Mother's Day fell on our seven-year anniversary. To celebrate our anniversary we attended the Salt Lake Temple on May 12, and had a great time doing sealings. I'm so glad I married Stuart! He makes me laugh, (though more often I roll my eyes) and he is really, really, ridiculously good-looking. Plus he doesn't complain about all the running I do. And he likes to travel. I'm also thrilled that he enjoys his job, because everyone should have a job they like.
Anyway, this post is about Mother's Day!
The day before Mother's Day I went on a long run to prepare for the 1/2 marathon I ran in June (more on that later). While I was gone, the girls prepared some excellent Mother's Day prizes for me. The next morning I was awarded with a whole bunch of Princess Castles and some lovely cards. I was thrilled, it was so cute.
The crowning moment of the day was when Alana sang her heart out with the other primary children during sacrament meeting. This was the first Mother's Day that I had a child in primary, and it was so special!
I sure love these three little girls. Motherhood is hard. It takes a lot of work. Sometimes I teeter on the brink of insanity with all of the screaming and sleepless nights. But I sure love seeing the progress these little people make. It is exciting to see Alana write letters, Charlotte do somersaults, and Esther take her first steps (again, more on that later!).
I love my life and I couldn't ask for more!
