Seth turns ONE!

We spent Seth's first birthday driving. Because of bad weather on I-80 and I-70, Erin and I made the decision to go all the way down to I-40, even though that adds 3 hours to the trip. It was kind of nice because we drove through south-east Utah, which is beautiful!
Here is Seth at Grand-Staircase/Escalante:

Aunt Julie passed down some "boy toys" so Seth got a new dump truck that he can ride. He enjoys it a lot!

Now that he is one, Seth can eat all sorts of things. He love mandarin oranges, semi-sweet chocolate chips, beans, cereal, rice, and Mommy's milk (no, I won't be weaning him any time soon)

The birthday candle
The stuffing of cake in the mouth:
The siblings (No idea why Charlotte was pouty)

Here are some things we love about Seth:
Esther: "He's cute and sometimes he does things that make me laugh."
Charlotte: "He's cute."
Alana: "I like his blubber."
Mom: "He is such a snuggly boy! He comes up to me and yells "Ma ma ma ma ma!" That can mean he wants me to hold him, or feed him, or play with him. He is also a very loud boy!
Dad: "I like how he likes to observe things."

At one year, Seth is 25.3 pounds and 30" tall.
He started walking at 10 months and is a pro now.
He says "Mama mama" and "DAdadadadada", as well as many other unintelligible things. He is able to let us know what he wants though.
His favorite toy: toilet paper and the dishwasher
His favorite book: whatever you are reading

This is one awesome kid. He still doesn't sleep more than 3-4 hour stretches at night, but right now he is battling teething and a double ear infection, so hopefully he will feel better soon! We are so blessed to have this little boy!
