Well, I had never been to an Alo Ohana reunion before, since the last one was on Maui and we had just gotten married. So: a little background: Stuart's mom is from Maui. Her dad (Grampi) was stationed in Hawaii during WW II (he was from New York) and Anela's mom was from Hawaii. The Alo Ohana is Grannie's (Stuart's mom's) family. ANYWAY...the reunion was in Vegas, and it was actually fun. (I went to Vegas a lot growing up because my dad is from there, and I always hated the atmosphere)
We stayed at Meleana's timeshare. She is Stuart's cousin and a delightful person! It was interesting because many of the extended family just have a completely different lifestyle, so there was a time planned for people to go gambling, and obviously some were drinking and smoking at the reunion. But all of the people I met were great. And Stuart's Aunts and Uncles are great also. Uncle Alfredo looked at Alana and said "That baby needs some sun." She seems to be taking after me in the fact that she has a fair complexion!
Also, while we were there we visited the Infangers, and went to a buffet, which was super fun, I miss my friend Jenny who always listens when I need to freak out!
Stuart should really be the one posting about this, but it was a great trip, and it was nice to get away and relax. Only one complaint: it was HOT!!!! Poor Alana!

As my Dad always says, "It's good for you, it will make your hair curly!" (This is in regards to Alana and the heat.) When Kaden was just a month old we drove up to Canada and it was seriously SO hot up there and they did not have air conditioning. So we finally stripped him down and he wore just a diaper most of the time. That made him really happy. :)
