On Friday we were pleasantly surprised to get a call from Meleana that they were in Spanish Fork and wanted to go to dinner. We had already started dinner, so Kyle, Meleana, Lokeilani, and Ikaika came over to eat. It was fun to see them so soon after the Alo Reunion! Lokeilani is such a cute girl, and Ikaika LOVED Alana's toys. It was fun to see a baby actually playing with them rather than batting at them. We watched the two kids while Kyle & Meleana went to the temple, which was fun. Ikaika is a good little guy and at 10 mos is only a little bigger than Alana.
On Saturday we drove up to Layton for Carter and Serena's birthday party. I'll admit, I was so exhausted, as Alana has been waking between 3-5 to eat every night. I hope I wasn't too grumpy. But it was fun to see everyone again, and to check out Taylor & Diana's lovely new home!
After leaving Layton, we went to the Epperson house to drop off my yellowed veil that Whitney WAS going to borrow (they just bought one as a yellow veil doesn't go with a white dress!) We ate dinner and had fun chatting. Sadly, Alana has been going through a stage of crying when she hears men's voices. I think she was also recovering from her immunizations still, but she just cried whenever Stuart's dad, my dad, or my brothers talked to her. I think my dad was a wee bit offended. Sorry dad, I promise it's not you: she loves you!
Anyway, to top off everything we went to see Danny, Wally, and Natalie. Natalie and Serena both LOVE Alana, but you can tell that Natalie is older because she is much more gentle. It is amazing to see the innate nurturing characteristics that girls have! Nat was funny because she was pretending to play the Wii with Stuart and Evan L. and would say "sorry" every time one of them messed up on Mario Kart. As a side note, I tried playing Mario Kart and I'm worse on the Wii than game cube (which, trust me, is hard to do!)

Anyway, we were exhausted at the end of the day (Oh wait I was exhausted at the beginning too) but it was fun to see everyone and spend time with family!! Wally, you really do look so cute and I can't wait to meet my little niece! I hope you endure the heat ok!! Only 1 month!! Yipee!
