Bravo

We all know teachers put in MANY extra hours of work. Personally, I probably put in 10 extra hours each week outside of my contract time, plus at least 40 hours during the summer. That pretty much amounts to no summer vacation if you look at it purely from an hourly standpoint. I just have to give a round of applause to Utah for finally seeing the light and beginning to road to fair compensation for teachers! Check THIS out! It's JSD's salary schedule. Right on! (yes, you can make $60,000 with a Master's degree after 15 years of teaching. I know it isn't amazing, but I'm just saying it's getting better!)

It is getting better! and I am still putting in that extra time. But... I wouldn't have any other job. =)
