Everything's up to date!

On Friday we drove with the kids to Kansas City so STuart and I could take turns attending the temple. I hadn't done temple work since July 2014, even though I got to go to the temple in November 2014 for Evan and Erin's wedding. I missed it. Going to the temple is like going home. Even though we were 4 hours away from where we live and 16 hours away from "home" in Utah, being there was so comforting. God's house is a place of peace!

We arrived in KC around 4 pm, so I took the girls swimming at the hotel. Esther almost drowned, which was horrifying. Really she was only under the water for 5 seconds before I got to her, but it still caused me a lot of anxiety!
After swimming we got cleaned up, and I made it to the 6:30 endowment session. It was very full, but the temple was so beautiful inside!
That night we relaxed and slept, and Stuart woke up the next morning to make it to the 8:30 AM endowment session. He had a great experience, and then we packed up and checked out.

Next, we went to lunch, then drove over to the Liberty Jail visitors Center. I am still shocked at how the early saints of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were treated. It was neat to visit the place where Joseph Smith was unjustly incarcerated and remember that through that trial, he was able to receive strength and comfort, and some of the most profound revelations found in our modern scripture!

The girls were great, and Seth was a champ! We love our family and the promises of temple blessings! I'm so grateful for my forever family!
