Oh what do you do in the summertime?

So, teaching definitely has it's perks. You're probably thinking that a 3 month summer vacation (which we don't get paid for, by the way) must be one of those perks. I say WRONG! I've realized that I definitely love being around people, and although I have plenty to do to occupy my time (such as crochet, clean, learn guitar, exercise, feel sick and pregnant) I get very lonely! I have a lot of great friends that let me babysit their kids, which is fun, but I guess it is just hard to go from college, to teaching full time, to NOTHING!!

I agree, Cris. I hate being out for the summer. And it's worse for me, because my summer vacation is 4 months. It's good that I have good jobs to earn money, but I wish I could just stay in school and work and struggle. I love our family and all, but it's hard being home when I've lived on my own. But my birthday is the half-way mark. I'll have been home for 56 days and I'll have 56 days left!

Dont worry Crystal I know how you feel. When I got pregnant I was happy because I wouldnt feel alone. Just because my family is not here with me and because Danny was working full time at teleperformance until 12:00am and I was home alone!!!. I dont have a hobbie...I wish I did! My favorite hobbie right now is changing diapers and running around the house which is very fun for me. =)
