Today I had to head up to Sandy in order to prepare for teaching next week. Before we went to my school, Alana and I visited my Grandma Shafer. It was Alana's first time meeting her Great-grandma, and she just loved Grandma Shafer. It was fun to sit and talk with Grandma, and also to hear how beautiful my baby is! The picture didn't turn out that great with the lighting, and I wished I had remembered to take the picture while grandma was holding her. I forgot until it was time to go!
Going back to my school was bittersweet. The kids were SO excited to see me (I think they forgot how grumpy I was at 9 months pregnant). It was crazy because half of them pulled out their cell phones to take a picture to show their moms. They seriously love her! They had pictures posted of her on the wall. It was weird to be back because it seems the same, except that now I am a mommy. Hopefully I'll be able to get everything done between 7:50 and 3:25, because that is when I'm contracted to be there. One annoying factor is that 9000 South has major construction, and that is the main route to my school. That could make my commute 5-10 minutes longer. And every minute I'm driving is time I'm not spending cuddling my baby! I'm not going to say "I'll be so happy when the school year is over" because I want to be happy with whatever situation I'm in. Also, I realize that these kids I am teaching are also children of God and they need love and positive interactions with someone who believes in them. But I am excited for the summer to spend with my growing little bundle of joy. (she is getting so big, I am posting some pictures of when she was first born as a comparison!

She is getting big!! I wanted to document how big my boys got every month so I took their pic in their carseat on their monthly birthdays and it has been a blast to see how big they have gotten. Its not too late for you to do something similar if you want to! Have fun and good luck with finishing out the school year!
Oh my goodness she is growing up! I'm glad that you did a comparision picture because it really showed how she's grown. I'm sorry you have to go back but it is fun to see the kids and show off your little one to them.
Hey Crystal! I wanted to let you know I saw your comment on my blog the other day. It's fun to hear from you. Alana is so cute! She and Sadie aren't far apart, so it's fun to see another baby Sadie's age. Hope you're doing well! I'll "blog stalk" back here once in awhile to see cute pictures of your baby. :)
I'm sorry you had to go back to work, but you always have such a great attitude! You must be a wonderful mom!
