These Days

You might think Stuart had been gone a year instead of almost a week by the way I act. I'm just glad Stuart is not in the military. That would take strength that I'm pretty sure I don't possess. I haven't heard from him in a couple of days and it is really driving me nuts. But I thought I post a little about what we've been up to this week.

Last Monday I took an alternative leave day to see Stuart off and ease the blow of him leaving. That was nice to have a 3-day weekend with Alana, but I totally cried when I took Stuart to the airport. I know. I'm a wimp.

We stayed at my parents a few days, and then came back to Provo on Thursday. On Friday, we went to a little b-day party for Wally, which was fun. Natalie just ADORES Alana. Nat can say the names of 3 people in the Epperson extended family: Sam, Shay, and Alana. Of course, she calls my mom "mommy" and we are positive she said "grampa" to my dad this week, which made him feel better!

I brought Sharolynn home for the weekend, which has been nice to have the extra company. Sometimes I forget that she's only 7 and can't do certain things. She's pretty mature for a 7-year-old (we'll attribute that to growing up in a house of adults).
Yesterday we went shopping and I spent the rest of my school legislative money, which was fun knowing that the hundreds of dollars I spent will be returned to me... :)

Last night Alana's Temperature got up to 100.8, which is .3 above when we're supposed to call the doctor. However, because she was eating fine and not fussing, we just had Brother Warburton and Scott Bryson give her a blessing. I really missed Stuart at that point, but am grateful for friends, and the priesthood! Alana has the cold that I got last Monday. I guess I should have stopped kissing my baby once I got sick, but that is basically impossible to do. If you've seen her, you understand!

Anyway, we went to church today, and now it's my goal to make some bread dough so Shay and I can make chicken rolls for dinner, and cinnamon rolls for dessert! YUM!

I totally understand about the glad he's not in the military thing--I couldn't do that either!! Hang in there!

Oh it has to be hard to be away from him for so long. It looks like you are keeping busy though. Keep hanging in there!
