This is Jake and Alana playing.
Karen watches Alana a couple of days each week while I teach my orchestra class, so I try to be available whenever she needs me to watch Jake. The two babies play quite well together, although Jake is almost a year older. He is so nice to Alana.
Whenever he sees Alana at church Jake shouts "Nana." He can even say "Ditdal" (for Crystal) and calls Stuart "daddy." He is a great little guy, and they have a lot of fun together.
Alana and I also like to play. This is what she looks like when I am about to "catch" her.
This week playing hide and seek has become her favorite game. The first few times I hid behind her crib. Then, I switched it up by hiding behind the rocking chair. It took about 3 more rounds for her to look for me behind the rocking chair instead of behind the crib. She always squeals when she finds me. It is incredibly cute! It's fun to see her memory develop. The only problem with playing is that the more we play, the more she WANTS to play. Not that this is a problem, but lately she has wanted me 24-7. I hope it's because she's cutting a tooth. Her upper gums are swollen again, and I just want those teeth to pop out instead of going up and down over and over again.
I gave Alana her first cookie this week. It was a grasshopper cookie, which I ate like a whole pack of. Yum! She liked it.
Finally, here's me with my sweetheart. I love that gal!

So cute! Im sure she loves having a playmate over :)
We just took the pacifiers away from the boys, we didn't do anything special - we decided it was time to take them away and we did. The hardest was when they would wake up and be looking for it and I was exhausted and just wanted to give one to them, but really the first night or two was hard but after that the boys don't even care anymore. Good Luck with it! My biggest advise is when you start don't give in.
