Of our DARLING toddler!! My goodness! I’ve always loved her, but Brad Paisley’s words come to mind “I thought I loved you then.” Not that having an impossible to calm trantrum throwing, binky addicted, completely dependent small fry hasn’t been a great experience, but it is such a relief to know that it was “JUST A STAGE!”
This week has been a blast! Here are a couple of cute stories that give me ample opportunity to gush over this beautiful little person!!
"Bye...Kiss!"
Today DH and I were in our bedroom. I was resting on the bed while DH was doing things (ie playing Starcraft) on the computer. Alana was just playing with some toys on the floor. Then she made up her own game. This is how it goes:
DD1: “BYE!!!” (she then starts to run out of the room)
Mom & Dad: “Bye bye baby!”
DD1: (turning around to come back: “KISS!” (the she gives dad a kiss)
DD1: “MOM!” (The she gives me a kiss.)
Repeat about 10 times, and each time we giggled and smiled over out sweet cute toddler.
"Meh-sin, Gramma!"
Last week we spent a lot of time at Grandma E’s house. Sadly the girl had a diaper rash. Grandma came to the rescue with every diaper change with her “meh-sin.” At the beginning of this week, the diaper rash turned into a yeast infection. We had to put medicine on it, and DD1 would say sadly “hurt, meh-sin, gramma.” Now she associates my mom with bum medicine! Ha ha!
This kid is officially a nursery goer, and she seems to love it so far. We'll see what happens when the baby comes, but at the end of sacrament meeting (during the song) I asked her if she wanted to go to primary. She was so excited, and quite upset when I told her we had to wait for the song and prayer.
