Thanksgiving 2010

This year we went to Lehi to visit Stuart's extended family for Thanksgiving. It was his Grandma, Donna Dearden, and her twin, Deane Winters, 85th birthday. It was a fun day, and Alana entertained herself by doing tricks for Stuart's cousin Erica Macguire and her boyfriend, Jay. In fact, I was in the cultural hall (we ate dinner at a church building) and Alana ran in from the hall and insisted that I come meet her best friends. They (Erica and Jay) were sitting in the foyer enjoying Alana's somersaults, splits, and running. Are you aware that Alana finds great pleasure in running around in circles. She's quite the little ball of energy. It's not hard to figure out why she likes running, ha ha!

About 4 in the afternoon, we left Lehi and headed to West Valley to visit my parents. We played Scattergories, and tried to fanangle my family into playing Bang, Dominion, and Bohnanza. They aren't into those kinds of games. :) (Incidentally, these are all awesome games if you're looking for a fun new game!)

On Friday we avoided leaving the house before noon. I did some Christmas shopping online, including buying a new Kitchenaid mixer. Swoon! I'm so excited. Although I'm going to have to bribe my dad to wire another outlet in my kitchen. We only have 1 outlet. I'll let you know how that goes. I ventured to Hobby Lobby in the afternoon in order to procure some needed supplies for the Christmas Presents I will be making.
