Charlotte October 2011

Charlotte is our crazy little 2-year-old. She has become quite adept at giving us the "black look". I have a video of it that I will post, because it's funny, in a scary sort of way.

Charlotte continues to be a good talker. Sometimes she surprises us with the clarity of her speech and completeness of her sentences. She understands two part directions ("go get the diaper and throw it in the garbage"). Her loves and snuggles always melt my heart, especially when I'm pushing her in the grocery store and she leans over every 2 minutes and squeals "MOMMY!" and squeezes me around the neck. I secretly think every other person watching wishes they had such a loving 2 year old.

With that loving nature, however, have come some pretty extreme tantrums. She is more addicted to her binky than she was even 6 months ago, and I had hoped to get rid of it by the time she was two. If she finds her binky it is a nightmare getting rid of it.

I'm not even considering potty training any time soon. She has absolutely no interest, and she doesn't understand "if...then" statements at all (i.e. if you eat your dinner you get a treat.) I don't think she's mentally ready, even though she probably is physically. I'm kind of relieved to not have to worry about it yet.

This month Charlotte went to her 2 year well child check up. She weighs 25 pounds and is 33 inches tall.
