Alana March 2012

What a windy month we had! It was perfect for Alana, since she loved flying her "garbage sack kite" that she made at her friend, Claire Wirthlin's, birthday party.
Alana is still a silly, sweet, 'n sassy four year old! I'm learning how to be a better mom to her, and recently I realized that I finally know what her love languages are: words of affirmation and time. This has helped me so much to understand not only what motivates her, but to show her love how she needs to be loved.

One of Alana's favorite activities is taking pictures. Of everything. I can't tell you how many fuzzy pictures of the carpet or Charlotte's nostril I have erased.

Alana also loves to make silly faces.

Today Alana surprised me when we went to the story time at the library. The 30 minute time period was filled mostly with reading books, and she sat still and paid attention the entire time. Makes me wonder why she tells me she has such a hard time sitting still in Primary?

She actually doesn't like primary very much. According to her it is boring and too hard to sit still and be quiet. At least during Sharing Time. Sad! She likes her sunbeam class, though!

Alana would spend every second outside if she could. For Easter Annie gave her a bug catching kit, and she has had so much fun with it. Of course, I have to do the actual bug catching, but when I caught 3 pill bugs she named them all and observed their movements. The two smaller ones died.

Alana is just growing and we just love her!
