We're home!! I deleted some of the pics that Stuart posted of me in labor, because I didn't think anyone needed to see that.
Here is the short version of how Alana got here on Sunday! We got to the hospital at 9:30 am, I had been in labor for probably 6 hours. After an hour of labor at the hospital and no progress, the doctor started me on pitocin to get things moving. After half an hour of that (and still no progress, even with stronger and closer contractions) I got an epidural (YAY!)
About 5 hours after the epidural, I was ready to push! Alana was born 2 hours after I started pushing (mostly because the 1st hour I had no idea when I was having a contractions so the pushing didn't do much, although it was exhausting!)
She is the most beautiful baby we have ever seen. We think she's losing the hair on top of her head, but even if she does end up having old man hair, she's TOO cute! Stuart is such a good dad; it is amazing to see how having a baby can change you! We're figuring out the whole eating thing (much harder than it looks, by the way) and we are SO excited to see our daughter grow and learn, and to teach her who she is and whose she is! We are so grateful!!!

She is super cute! I'm so happy that everything went well for you! I was really worried about you after we talked Saturday. Good luck with everything at home. Can't wait to meet Alana! Hopefully in a week or two! Love ya!
She is so beautiful. She doesn't look like a brand new baby because she doesn't have the squishy face. I guess thats what you get for cooking her longer. Congrats guys. Isn't having an epidural wonderful. I had to push that long with my first to.
Oh wait, how much did she weigh and how long was she?
so excited she is finally here! Let us know what we can do to help!
I love the picture with the outfit and the binky! Could she be any cuter??!?! Love you guys!
Congrats guys! I'm so happy for you! Babies change your life forever, they are SO wonderful. I told Bro. Big too, and he was very happy for your two!
