First of all, we have TEETH! Yes, that is plural for tooth. Not just one, but TWO! Last week was definitely a difficult one for the wee child. Duh mom! Saturday morning I felt in her mouth and could feel the teeth breaking through! I tried to take a picture, but all of the pictures that are close-ups of her gums are blurry. I always wondered what the big deal is about getting teeth! Amazing!
The second tidbit I'd like to share is a sweet thing my little baby has learned to do. When her face is right in front of mine I say "kisses" and smack my lips. She will almost always (as long as she isn't distracted by my mole or any shiny objects) lean her mouth in and give me kisses. It is so cute! I feel like I've actually taught my baby something.
Our little friend Jacob loves to point out our picture of Jesus when he comes to our house. I was telling Karen how I wished Lana would recognize Jesus, so I started a daily program of getting the picture off the wall and telling her a little story about Jesus. Today, I mentioned Jesus' name, and she looked over at the picture of Him on the wall. I wanted to cry. Those are the little moments that I LOVE!!
Finally, just a blurb on Conference. I have some new goals that I have rededicated myself too, and one of them is just to ENJOY life!!! Since Alana was born I've tried to enjoy each moment and not be too focused on the next thing to do, but my resolve is stronger. I want to laugh at the little annoyances, pray for gratitude and strength, and enjoy all the blessings I have! I definitely am feeling a fullness of joy these days!! (Now if I could feel well rested that would just be a miracle!!)

Oh man my niece is HUGE!! I am missing everything! We really need to get together!! I miss you girls so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yay for teeth! It makes feeding them real food (when they get to it) a whole lot easier. My boys still only have 3 teeth between the two of them, and have learned the art of gumming food. She is so cute, and I love that she looked at Jesus when you said Jesus.
She is getting so big, and oh so cute! Fun stories.
I read your blog for a while tonight and it's become one of my new favorites!! And I read a lot of blogs. Or I try. Thanks for the invite and I'll be keeping on your life now. ;-) I loved reading your words because everything is so positive and happy and that's a good way for me to feel! So thanks!
