2 & 21

I'm glad I get my weekly baby center emails. Otherwise I might forget how old my children are. Ha ha!
Yesterday I mentally celebrated 2 MONTHS since the arrival of Sweet C. Here are some things about her:

*She still LOVES to be held.
*She is such a cute little chunk!
*She is a very happy little baby.
*She is learning to coo and make other endearing noises (other than crying!)
*She has the sweet smile that makes her eyes all squinty. See for yourself:

The Girl is now 21 months! What a fun little child. You know how sometimes you compliment a person's child and they say "if only you saw them when..." or "she's not usually like this at home..." I've made it a goal to not do that. But still, when my mom said on Sunday "she's such a happy kid." I looked at her like "are you kidding me?" I stopped before saying anything negative and just said:
"You know that poem about the little girl with the little curl right in the middle of her forehead? And when she is good she is very very good, and when she is bad she is horrid. That's my Girl."

It's kind of true, although I might ascribe it more to the emotional difficulties of toddlerhood rather than my little gal's personality. She really is such a great kid, and I adore her! But sometimes I could do without the whining, screaming, kicking, hitting, etc... I just have to remind myself that I'm not always my best self, why should I expect her to be! And THAT reminds me to try and set a better example of kindness, soft speaking, and gentleness.

Some things the Girl is now doing at 21 months:
* Climbing on the table and playing with whatever is there.
* Not sharing (oh wait, I should stick to what she IS doing, let's be positive!)
* Saying "I luff you ______." (My favorites of, or course mommy, and then Daddy and baby sister. Heart MELTING!)
* Talking in complete sentences. However, with the onset of complete sentences comes a slew of words that I can't understand. ha ha!
*Singing "Cinderbrella!" and "Super readers, hooray!" over and over and over (and over) again!
*Giving kisses to baby sister, and hugs, and sometimes sitting on sister's head (not good when the Girl has a poopy di-di!)

She also has crazy hair most of the time. She's so busy and kind of wild that her hair doesn't stay done for long!

These two little dears are my life. I love them so much!!
And I also love and miss this guy!

Can't wait until his first "business trip" is over and he comes home to us!
