Sweeters

I value correct grammar. Anyone who has seen my corrections on my teenage brothers' facebook profiles, or who has gotten a blog comment reminding them the correct uses of "to, too, and two" (too=also, btw) can vouch for that. I especially think it's important to use correct grammar with babies and children. That doesn't mean you can't speak "motherese," but don't mess up your tenses or use 2 year old sentence structure.

Knowing this, the problem I'm about to unfold may surprise you. It stems from this little angel-gal:

For some reason, whenever I talk to her, I find myself adding "er" to most of my words. Our conversations may go like this:
"Hey sweeters, do you want to suck on your binkers? Oh, you are such a chunker monker, aren't you itty buggers?"
I know. It's terrible. But in my defense, she is so stinkin' cute! Here's proof:

Just in case you're curious, she is a good baby. Pretty mellow, has her fussy period at night still, but is easily soothed and almost never fusses if she's being held. She went from 9:30pm until 4:30 am without eating the other night, but unfortunately she didn't go to sleep until midnight. DH usually stays up with her if she's still awake at 11 pm. So she's showing promise. Except she sleeps in our bed. I think I'm getting more used to it.
Oh, and her smile is heart-melting. It's almost a laugh, it's such a huge grin. I need to get pictures of it. I think she loves me though, because I always get the biggest grins from her! :)
