Oh my HECK!

My high school English teacher thought it was hillarious that Utahns say "oh my heck!" But seriously, I can't believe my baby will be THREE in 10 more days!! Crazy!

We almost bought a minivan last week. But we decided to save a little longer, and hopefully we will be able to pay cash this summer. You can't fit three carseats in a cavalier!

Stuart is busy busy busy! I'm so glad I'm not a military wife, but being an accountant's wife during busy season is the next worst thing. Ok, maybe not. I'm so glad we have a job, and that Stuart has lots of possibilities for his career path! We miss him most of the time, and just live it up on the weekends when we (usually) get to see him.

I debated about sharing this, but last week Alana told me that Jesus wasn't real. I was heartbroken, but decided not to freak out and instead just be that more vigilant in bearing my testimony to her that Jesus DOES live, and that I know he loves us. Plus I started doing daily Jesus Stories with the Gospel Art book. I really think she just likes to be contrary. Maybe I'll tell the entire story someday, when I'm less traumatized. But did I ever tell you about the prayer phase? She wouldn't pray, screamed every time we tried to pray, and I was getting worried. Then I stopped worrying and just continued to pray with her and now she wants to say every prayer at every meal and family night! Funny kid!

Charlotte is just so funny still. How do I describe her? Mellow? At least compared to her sister! She is a joy. One funny thing she does is play with my hair. Constantly. She gently twirls and fingers it. She can't go to sleep when I'm holding her unless her hands are entwined in my hair. She is also a little darling about sharing. She seems to be able to sense when Alana wants something, and gives it to her (most of the time, and I'm holding my breath on that!) This gal also has a sweet tooth. Among her favorite new words are "chocolate" and "treat."

We got a little play kitchen for free on Yahoo Freecycle. The girls enjoy it, except I don't enjoy having play food all over my kitchen and living room all the time. Someday: a toy room! :)

Anyway, we're hanging in here, can't wait until spring, and August, when our little bundle should arrive!

I was just thinking today about Alana's upcoming birthday! Those 3 little years sure have gone by fast! I'm with Charlotte on loving chocolate. I am needing some right now!!! Still miss you!
