I just got my email from babycenter.com and realized that I am 30 weeks pregnant! (technically 31, but we'll anticipate that I have 10 weeks left!) I feel pretty good. Sometimes I wonder if I should be doing all the stuff I do, but I enjoy being active. The baby is strong and healthy, and I'm carrying her much lower than DD1, which is kind of different. She isn't kicking my ribs at all like Big Sister did! Her eyesight and brain are developing like crazy this month, so I guess I should eat more salmon and take some blue-green algae! Ha ha! (There is some evidence that DHA during pregnancy can improve your child's IQ. And since IQ is the only important aspect of intelligence...just kidding! I'd rather have my child be kind and friendly than a genius!)
I realized something about how I grow during pregnancy. I have a growth spurt and feel huge for a couple of weeks, then I don't grow much for another week or two and start to feel like I'm not as big as I should be, then I have another growth spurt. I also realized, based on my last pregnancy, that I carry pretty small until the last month, when I get huge! Feel free to post a comment about yourself if you like, I love reading others' experiences!
I also recently read a book called Ina May's guide to childbirth. After reading some reviews I realized that it probably is a really hippie-ish book. But I LOVED it! I'm planning a blog post based on all my childbirth research combined with my own birthing philosophy called "myths about modern childbirth." Stay tuned for that one!

I have the same Ina May book too! Its a little intense but I feel like I've learned so much from it! I've been looking to get her other book Spiritual Midwifery but I haven't found it yet. Alana is so so adorable and I'm glad you guys are having such a fun summer! Yay for being 30 weeks!
