sacrificial lamb

Charlotte and Alana go to bed around 8:30 every night, but that doesn't mean they go to sleep. Every night they sit up with the light dimmed, listening to "The Magic Treehouse" and drawing pictures. Charlotte has fallen in love with coloring since we moved to Arkansas, but most recently she has started drawing her own pictures. The other night she came into my room (when she should have been sleeping, it was close to 10 pm) and told me she was drawing animal pictures.

She showed me her picture.

I guess she was paying attention to the lesson about Abraham and Isaac. Funny girl!

(In case you can't tell, according to Charlotte this is a picture of a lamb being sacrificed on an altar. I asked her if she knew why people used to do that and she told me because Jesus would sacrifice himself, the people did it to help them remember! I was so proud that she knew that!)
