Sob & sniffle! We took Little Girl to Farm Country and she had SO much fun! I worried she wouldn't like the pony ride, but she loved it. The baby goats were especially fascinating, but I think her favorite animals were the chickens. It's cute that she can say all of these animals. As we were downloading the CUTE picture, I accidentally clicked on something that asked if I wanted to delete all the pictures. So we have no pictures of Farm Country. We'll have to go there again!
My child really is quite a smartie. Although I hate when people brag about their kids, occassionally I like to make it known that she can say over 50 words at 15 months. This isn't to hype my parenting skills though, because I am convinced that, aside from the normal things we do that almost all parents do (like reading, conversing with her using correct grammar and a variety of vocabulary, singing, and playing) it is mostly just her. She's definitely a word sponge. I let her watch a little TV (which hasn't hurt her, although I am very picky about what she watches). I don't feel like I spend ALL my time nourishing her language skills. I just think she has a naturally affinity for language. And her dad is a talker.
Little Girl is also developing her little toddler-esque language. Meaning that 99% of what she says to us is "no." Actually, it isn't just "no," but "no! No! NO!" We have to try not to laugh. If she has the slightest worry that we're about to either tell her what to do, or prevent her from doing something (such as climbing on the table...oh yes, she started CLIMBING on EVERYTHING this week!) then she immediately tells us "no no no!" And she wags her finger at us. It's funny.
A cute story that happened the other day:

We checked out "The Eensy Weensy Spider" from the library. SUCH a cute book! There is one page where the spider scrapes her knee and asks her mommy for some bandaids. Well, Little Girl had scraped her knee the day before, had received a bandaid, but it fell off in the tub. After reading that page, she got up, pointed to the bathroom (where bandaids are kept) and said "man-aid, man-aid!" She got so excited when I said she could have one, and even more excited when I put it on her knee.
Toddler words are funny, especially when you know that what they are saying is an actual word, but you have no idea what word it is. This happens to us all the time, although usually she'll pair the word with a sign and we can figure it out. Bananas are "mannas." Pinecones(we spend a lot of time outside) are pie-coes." And today she kept saying "money, money, money." We've never discussed money with her, so we had no idea what she was saying. A few minutes later she was hitting my tummy (she either hugs and loves it, or pats it...it kind of sounds like a watermelon." and she said "money." I said "say tummy." "Money" was her reply. OH! Like I said, I LOVE talking babies! Isn't language development amazing!?
DH & I decided a while ago that we should have super powers. His is incredibly sharp toe nails. It might sound gross, but we're pretty sure he could break into buildings by cutting holes in the doors. Today we realized (after 5 hours of me smelling something gross and not being able to tell what it was) that I would have extra awesome smelling power. I'm good at smelling. At least when I'm pregnant.
I took a belly picture this last week. It's me at about 25 weeks. The first picture is 25 weeks preggo with Little Girl, just for a comparison. Maybe my due date isn't really behind. Oh well, like I've mentioned, I just expect this baby to show up sometime between Sept 10 and the 20th. We'll see! But I did notice that my ticker says there are fewer than 100 days left. So maybe I will meet my new baby in 100 days or less! Woot!

Wow, 50 words at 15 months is great! (Okay, I haven't read up on toddlers yet, so I'm not quite sure what's normal, but I think I heard at least ten words by 18 months). I think Caleb might be awhile before he says much, because he still mostly just babbles saying, "ma ma ma" with an occasional "ba" in there, but that's about it. Oh well. I am hoping he'll pick up on some of the signs I'm trying to remember to do with him.
I love Alana! I have to tell you a little secret. When I was playing with her in our backyard on Saturday, I was touched at how eager Alana is about life. She was so excited to see the trees, the dogs, the apple, the cat, the rocks, etc.
As she was saying these words a thought or little prayer was said that I hope Heavenly Father allows me to live long enough to see my cute nieces & nephews progress. I don't want to miss it--
