...to be annoyed at my unborn baby for not being born yet? Ok, yes, typing it helps me see how silly that fleeting feeling was. But seriously kid, it's time!
Although I don't think she knows it yet. I'm still only 1 cm, 60% effaced, and -1 station. It could be any hour. It could be 10 more days. I think I'll go get a blessing and try some more cleaning. Stressing is not going to induce labor.
(And no, I'm not going to drink castor oil, eat spicy food, or jump on a trampoline. And walking 3 miles a day uphill doesn't help either!) :)

Waiting is always hard, especially when you are waiting for something as exciting and important as a baby! But hang in there, you've already waited 9 months for her and it is pretty certain that at least within the next week or so you will have her-- she won't stay in there forever. Despite what it feels like :)
Granted I haven't ever had to wait past my due date for a baby-- but when I was pregnant with Asher my visiting teacher told me a story that has helped me look at waiting in a different way. She said that her niece was having a REALLY hard time and was really impatient because she was almost two weeks "overdue" and kept having false labors. Her father gave her a blessing and in it she was told that she needed to be patient because her baby was having a hard time saying goodbye to people on the other side and that he wasn't ready to come to earth yet. That changed her whole mindset and yes, eventually the baby did come...happy and healthy. That story has helped me SO much because it helps remind me that there are two sides to this birth thing-- we only see our part down here on earth, but there are others who are helping to get babies ready on the other side and they have an eternal perspective and know exactly what our babies need.
So hang in there! She will come and you will do such a wonderful job! I am really excited for you.
What about stairs??? :-) She'll come soon!
Heck I have two weeks left and I feel the same way!! I'm sorry that she isn't here yet. I'll start to send "baby come" vibes your way. I hope the next post is her picture! Hang in their girlie and just know that I feel your current pain!!
I've been waiting for the phone call to come get Alana!! We'll start praying extra hard that baby sis will come SOON!!!
