More Pics

Hubby picked some weird pics to introduce our new baby. I am so glad she is here! 7 lbs, 1 oz; 18.5 inches, and I will definitely have to share the birth story at some point because it was the most difficult, grueling, painful, amazing experience of my life. In fact, while I was pushing I definitely thought "I know why most women opt for the epidural. I don't know if I'll ever do this again!" Luckily time dulls pains and enhances joy, so we'll see. I won't have to think about it for a while at least! Now I can just enjoy my girls and get as much rest as possible!! Here are some of my favorite pics!
Yes, this is me in active labor. 4 hours after arriving at the hospital, I was still at 6 cm, so the midwife and I discussed pros and cons of breaking my water. I decided to do it, and while it sped things up, after that I was not this chipper. (Transition will do that to you). But the baby was born 2 hours later! :)

Great job!!! I am so proud of you for not getting an epidural. It gives me so much hope and courage! Charlotte is absolutely precious and the name really does suit her!

You are certainly braver than me! My epidural only worked on one side with Breann, that was enough pain for me to deal with. I'm so glad she's here and everything is okay for you both!!
