This week

Hubby has been in a not-too-distant town for most of the last 2 weeks on a temp job, so the Girl and I have been surviving on our own. We missed him a ton, and are glad he is home, but it's good to know that I can get by without him being home most of the time! (I've become rather dependent on him this summer!)

First, we went to the petting zoo with the Dear cousins! That was great fun, little Girl LOVES her cousins and was so excited to be with them. However, near the entrance the cow mooed really loud, so she was scared of the animals the rest of the time. Here is the only pic I remembered to take:

The next day, I went to spend the night with DH, mostly as an experiment to get LS ready for when the baby comes. She spent the night with Aunt Jewls and "Ance". Much to my surprise (and sadness) she didn't want to leave when I went to pick her up the next morning. Just because they have trains that run right by their house... :(

We went to visit DH's grandpa, who had a stroke last weekend. He is doing much better, but it was fun to see more D cousins.

Then on Sunday we had dinner with my fam, which is always exciting! I love visiting family because Little Girl is constantly entertained, and I get to relax a little bit!! I should start taking more pics though!

On Sunday the Munchkin also found my swim top and discovered how to walk in my shoes. It was difficult to get a good pic, I'll have to post the video.

She also LOVES corn.

Did I mention how much she loves to eat corn on the cob? Oh. Good. Cause she does.

This week I took the Girl in for a long-overdue haircut. It is kind of difficult to see the difference, except for the bangs, but she looks SO cute! Here are some pics:

She looks like a little girl now, instead of a baby! She sobbed during the entire haircut, although she was eating candy, watching Elmo, holding a pony, and popping bubbles. Oh, and if anyone wants a $3 off coupon to Cookie Cutters, let me know and I'll email one to you. I liked the place A LOT!

Yesterday, as I mentioned, was my Bday. It was mostly a normal day, but Jewls came over to hang out, and DH got home in the afternoon and won't have to go out of town again for 2 months, so it was a great day! Thanks for the cake, Jewls! (DH even liked it, which is amazing!) Here is a picture of my frumpy self and fam on my birthday:
(getting the girl to hold still for 2 seconds is an obvious challenge!)

Today Jewls came to watch Little Girl so DH and I could go to the temple and then take advantage of my Tucano's bday coupon! YUM! Then Jewls took me to get my FIRST pedicure! FUN! Thanks again Jewls! I was so spoiled on this birthday. I got flowers (courtesy myself: they were only $5 for a beautiful bouquet at Smith's, so I got them "from" DH...;)), a thoughtful gift from the hubby, TIME with my favorite people, a pedicure, babysitting service, and lots of love!

And here is a less frumpy pic of the Girl and me. I've started trying to wear eyeliner more often. I've NEVER worn it, but I think I'm getting the hang of it, and kind of like it. I think I'll do a complete makeover and hairdo on myself when I go into labor. Wouldn't it be great to have a glamorous pic of myself (with a little sweat added for shine) in the hospital holding my new baby!?)

You're beautiful! I love you! Oh, and it's not just the awesome trains at our house, it's the awesome aunt that makes Alana want to stay :) And treats..ha ha! (Only kidding, I really didn't feed her any treats besides the creamy which technically you fed her!)
