Family and Prayers

It is so important to me to teach my daughters and son the value of family, and the importance of righteous parents. The world has been selling the idea that a woman's value depends on how much she can accomplish, travel, look good, money she can make, etc. Women who chose to be mothers are making an unpopular choice. But it is the right choice. Last night the girls and I sang "The Family is of God." We discussed the importance of becoming parents and doing what God wants us to do. We also talked about the possibility of never marrying/having kids, and how we can still fulfill God's commandments in meaningful ways, and that women are inherently mothers.

Charlotte said the family prayer after our discussion. Part of her prayer included the sentence "Please bless Baby Brother to grow up and be a good Dad, like my dad."

I think she's getting it. :)
