Her first Fourth!

First, we went to the parade.

The poor thing got plumb tuckered out by all the excitement!

Some of the floats were amazing!

As a US history teacher, I had to take a picture of this one. It was one of the few floats that actually acknowledged why we celebrate this holiday in the first place. The DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE! How many people even know that after the Declaration we fought the British for 11 years before winning the war? And even then, our country almost fell apart because the Articles of Confederation did not provide for a unified, central federal government?!
Later, we went to see all the shopping tents set up around center street. We didn't buy anything.

Dad and Uncle Samuel got pizza, which was a yummy treat. Then, we went to see fireworks. Sorry, we only took pictures at the parade! Silly parents!

Hey Crystal! I just had to comment that lately I've noticed in your pictures that Alana kind of looks like Sadie. Have you ever noticed that? (This is going off of the assumption that you occasionally look at our pictures on our blog.) Their hair is even growing in the same. Anyways, she's way cute! Also, I hope you don't mind if I link to you guys on our blog, since I look at yours from Julie's anyways. :)
