I never posted part I. Really this should be part XXX. We went shopping last week to find skirts for Whit's wedding. Lo, there was nothing in her colors. Then, I found a shirt and a skirt. I didn't try the skirt on because it looked ok. WHen I brought it home and tried it on, it looked horrible! I had an ugly complex all day just from trying it on. After taking it back to Penny's and not finding anything else (and exhausting myself, seriously 10 minutes of shopping is more tiring to me than having a baby!) I went home.
Today, I had a job interview to teach Orchestra in a few Provo elementary schools (which I got and am excited about). Stuart was home with Alana so it was the perfect chance to go shopping and find a skirt. I spent about an hour at the mall, hoping to find a navy blue pencil skirt, or even an a-line skirt, but could find nothing. I found many an item in navy blue, but no skirts.
Once again, I was wasted. I needed to take a serious nap after my 40 minutes of window shopping. It was frustrating, and now I hate shopping. I decided that if I'm ever rich, I'll pay a professional to find outfits in my size that would look cute and stylish. I'll never go to the mall.
The good news is that I realized I have a navy blue dress. I will need to find a light blue or sage green belt to go with it, but I think I'll just wear that to the reception. :)

Oh I hear ya! I hate shopping. I went shopping the other day and was almost in tears in the dressing room. It can be sooo depressing! But you are a gorgeous gal Crissy! I hope your hubby made you remember that when you got home! Also congrats on the job, that is exciting to have something that you can do that can bring in a little more money for the fam!
Charles makes a pretty good personal shopper. I could let you borrow him if you want! I HATE shopping. When things don't fit, I take it personally and think it's because I'm abnormally shaped. Congrats on the job!
Two agreements:
1) It is hard to find cute things in the colors people choose for weddings (I could not find anything suitable in the right color blue for my wedding, so I resorted to have my friends make their own dresses, which turned out quite well)
2) Shopping is tiring. I heard once that the lights in the stores actually have a draining effect--I don't know if that's true, but I really have to be in the right mood to shop, other wise, I don't care for it. I'm glad I'm not the only girl who feels this way.
Another "we're the same!" I am not a big fan of shopping either. Chris pretty much has to force me to go, help me find cute stuff to try on, come to the dressing room so I can come out and show him what it looks like and then pay for it, while I leave the store so I can't stress (as much) about how much we are spending. LOL. I make is SUCH an ordeal! But that is what makes it a little more fun for me :) And wow---congrats on the job! That is great. You'll have to tell me more about it. You sound really excited about it. That's great!
